1. What is Black & Bilingual?
Black & Bilingual is a movement to showcase the multi-linguistic attributes of the Black Diaspora. Black people worldwide speak a multitude of languages from English to Spanish, from Portuguese to Haitian Creole. Black & Bilingual also encourages Black people to learn a new language of interest.
2. I'm not bilingual. Am I still able to support?
Absolutely! Again, Black & Bilingual is a positive outlet to show the diversity of the Black Diaspora. Even if you are not bilingual, you are still welcome to support! However, all Black people are bilingual! If you don't think so, research 'African American Vernacular English'.
3. How did Black & Bilingual come to life?
Black & Bilingual was created by Erica "Miss-Enformed" Baker in January 2017. She has been studying Spanish for 20 years. It is a hobby near to her heart, and she decided to create a space for her passion for speaking Spanish.
4. What's next for Black & Bilingual?
Black & Bilingual is more than just an educational-product line. It is a movement to showcase the diversity of a people. Black & Bilingual has plans for more outreach initiatives in the future. Additionally, the website features the B&B Chronicles Blog that showcases travel, culture, and food.
